About Us
Specialist expert witness services within health and social care
Mind Professionals Expert Witness Service is a specialist service providing independent experts across health, psychology and social care. We work with claimant and defendant solicitors, insurers and the courts to deliver clear, robust and CPR-compliant expert evidence.
Our focus is on quality, integrity and professional judgement, ensuring that expert evidence is both clinically sound and legally relevant.
A unique organisational model
Mind Professionals Expert Witnesses sits alongside two other specialist services:
- Mind Professionals Recruitment Service – supplying high-quality health and social care professionals in permanent and locum positions.
- Mind Professionals Neurodevelopmental Service – delivering neurodevelopmental assessments and pathways for adults and children.
Together, these services form Mind Professionals (hyperlink to master MP homepage), enabling us to draw on deep sector knowledge while maintaining clear separation between clinical, recruitment and medico-legal work.
Mind Professionals is part of Provide Community, an employee-owned Community Interest Company.
As a Community Interest Company, we are committed to creating social value. Any surplus we generate is reinvested into the communities that we work within, the development and sustainability of our services, the wellbeing, training and support of our colleagues.
This ensures that our success directly benefits the people and places connected to our work.
Being employee-owned means our team is personally invested in the quality and integrity of the services we deliver. It fosters accountability and pride in our work, collective responsibility for outcomes, decisions driven by professional standards, rather than short-term commercial pressure. This approach underpins everything we do across Mind Professionals.
This model is unusual within expert witness services and reflects our commitment to doing things the right way.
Our Expert Witnesses
We pride ourselves on working with experienced professionals with excellent communication skills, who can listen carefully and use their in-depth knowledge to prepare high-quality reports with realistic, well-reasoned recommendations.
All expert witnesses instructed through Mind Professionals Expert Witness Service:
- Are currently practising within their profession, or are registered with the relevant professional body
- Maintain up-to-date clinical or professional expertise
- Understand their overriding duty to the court
- Provide independent, objective opinions
This ensures that reports are accurate, clinically correct and grounded in current practice.
Our approach
We believe expert witness services should be:
- Professional, not automated
- Relationship-led, not transactional
- Independent, clear and defensible
Our role is to support solicitors and expert witnesses throughout the process, while safeguarding independence and quality at every stage.
